INCLUSIVE EDUCATION POLICY OF GHANA: MOVING FROM POLICY INTO ACTION
AWUTU SENYA EAST MUNICIPALITY, CENTRAL REGION GHANA
Background of the workshop
Inclusive education seeks to address the learning needs of all children, with a specific focus on those who are vulnerable to marginalization and exclusion. At the core of education is the right to education, the significance of which has been reaffirmed in many international human rights treaties of which Ghana has signed. Ghana has launched an Inclusive Education Policy, however many education management staff, teachers and other stakeholders do not know about it and lack the skills to implement the policy at the grassroot level.
