We provide special educational services and coordination for schools, support teachers with evidence-based pedagogy, and provide students with learning disabilities and special needs with educational assessment, clinical teaching and health programming in order to increase education outcomes and inclusion.
In Ghana schools are challenged with inadequate teacher skills, class rooms, special educational services, learning materials and funding which adversely affect inclusion of children with learning disabilities and special needs in schools.
To complement the international effort through declarations that enjoins Ghana to create accessibility for all children including those with learning disabilities and special needs in regular schools. CLED Ghana strategically focus on increasing access to quality inclusive basic education through teacher training programs and co-teaching, assessment and clinical teaching, scholarships, career guidance and counseling, uniform and learning materials for pupils with learning disabilities and special needs.
CLED Ghana also provides learning opportunities for volunteers and interns interested in working school children with learning disabilities and special needs; co-teaching with school teachers in partnership with local schools in Kasoa Municipality.
