Training for Education Directors –
Forty-Three (43) Staff of Awutu Senya East Municipal Education Directorate trained from 23rd -24th January 2017, about the inclusive education policy of Ghana: moving from policy into action in the Central Region, Ghana. Thank you Ananse Group of Germany for the financial support.
Training for Resource Teachers, Head teachers and School Supervisors
A two-day workshop has been organized for 14 Resource Teachers, 25 head teachers and 7 school supervisors on inclusive education and designing basic screening tools, assessing pupils, documenting and making referrals for appropriate support services dated 22nd -23rd February, 2017 .

Head Teachers and their Supervisors Training
Thirty two (32) Head Teachers from 30 public schools and 8 supervisors trained on learning disabilities, co-occurring difficulties and Ghana’s Inclusive Education policy dated Thursday, 26th November 2015.
Since 2015 we have organized 12 radio and television talkshows in Ghana about learning disabilities, co-occurring difficulties, and Ghana’s Inclusive Education policy. We grateful to Africa Action, Germany.
One-hundred (100) parents educated about learning and intellectual disabilities and parenting skills. We thankful to Africa Action, Germany for the financial support.
One hundred and eighty eight (188) children received assessment and specialized tutoring and in-class support services. We are thankful to Africa Action, Germany
4 girls and 1 boy received sponsorship from Lutje Behr, his mother Maria and friend Klaus
Training of Cheerful Heart Foundation Teachers & Volunteers
CLED facilitated training of 35 teachers (18 females, 17 males) on 20th February, 2016, another 40 teachers (22 males & 18 females) and 40 volunteers (21 males & 19 females) dated 21ST TO 23RD OCTOBER 2016 on learning disabilities and its management and child rights to support reintegration of trafficked children into the Senya fishing community schools on at Kasoa.
Awareness in Churches
Thirty (30) churches educated about learning disabilities, co-occurring difficulties and Ghana’s Inclusive Education policy. The churches were also given 150 posters about learning disabilities and its signs in children who may have learning disabilities. We are thankful to Africa Action, Germany
Training of Aboum School for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities, Cape Coast Ghana
Eight (8) teachers of Aboum School for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities, Cape Coast Ghana were trained about positive behavior and active support for persons with intellectual disabilities. We are thankful to Mrs. Jane Toure-UK, Dr. Bridget Hunter –UK and MAITs, 1st June , 2016
