As a result of the implementation of inclusive education in Ghana from September, 2015 learners of all abilities and backgrounds are given right to be served in the regular school classrooms. For those learners with learning differences and disabilities the school curriculum and resources may present certain challenges that require adaptations to meet the needs of eligible children.
We support Ghana’s Inclusive Education Policy and the Sustainable Development Goal 4 Target 4.6: By 2030, ensure that all youth and a substantial proportion of adults, both men and women, achieve literacy and numeracy.
Target 4.A: Build and upgrade education facilities that are child, disability and gender sensitive and provide safe, non-violent, inclusive and effective learning environments for all.
